Corso di perfezionamento: Summer Seminar on International Commercial Arbitration (I edition)

The Dipartimento di Scienze Giuridiche of the Università di Firenze and the ICC International Court of Arbitration successfully organized the first annual Summer Seminar on International Commercial Arbitration, held in Florence from July 22-26, 2013.

The participants arrived from all over the world, including such countries as Turkey, Puerto Rico, Australia, the United States, Mexico, Azerbaijan, and varied in levels of experience from recent graduates to retired lawyers, to spend an intense week learning and discussing all aspects of international commercial arbitration.

The faculty included some of the most prestigious names in the world of arbitration, and offered both theoretical and practical lessons based on their vast experience. The lessons were held using the Socratic method, allowing all participants to share in the experience.

In their free time they were able to enjoy all the world famous attractions that Florence has to offer, including dinners and cocktail hours planned by the organizers.

The organizers considered the seminar a great success and hope to conduct future sessions.
