The DSG's Department of Excellence Project 2023-2027, entitled ‘Excellence and Equality: the Next Generation Law(yer) ’, envisages innovating teaching, expanding research and enhancing the Third Mission. In particular, it promotes the role of the DSG as a national and international reference pole for research and teaching on the subject of combating inequalities and for the implementation of corresponding inclusive actions also in synergy with third parties, both public and private, including third sector associations and organisations.
At the heart of the project is the training of the next generation law(yer), in the twofold dimension of: a law that is grasped in its vital link with the processes of socio-economic transformation and capable of positively influencing them (next generation LAW); a jurist capable of knowing and activating regulatory instruments concretely oriented towards the construction of an inclusive society (next generation LAWYER).
A unitary thematic axis is identified aimed at
- orienting law research and teaching by creating a strong synergy between the different areas of law
- creating a stable interaction between law and other disciplines
- promote a solid integration between research, teaching, third mission and interventions on infrastructures
